The Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program is a critical layer in U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) multi-layered cargo enforcement strategy. CTPAT was conceived shortly after the 9/11 attacks and partners with the Trade community and foreign Customs Administrations to help protect the international supply chain from terrorism, illegal contraband and other threats.
